On Friday night, we swapped tops.
No, it isn't actually as crazy as it sounds, but Jack and I did have a clothing swap party at our apartment! A few weeks ago, Epica Wines reached out to us with the idea of hosting a clothing swap party - something we'd never thought of. The premise? Invite a bunch of friends over for wine and great conversations for a party to trade your gently used (and previously loved) clothing. Clothing, jewelry, shoes, all are welcome at clothing swaps, where you swap clothes for keeps. It's like shopping for free with your best friends (with wine included). Here's how it worked:
Step 1: We went closet diving. On my swap list was a fall dress, cute v-neck top, J. Crew necklace and summery blouse.
Step 2: We grabbed our crew. The BEST crew. Of friends we see all of the time, and those we see a little less often.
Step 3: We popped corks and started sipping (Epica Red Wine was my drink of choice). And we might have eaten a little pizza too...
Step 4: We swapped. The result? I came home with two dresses and a summer skirt. Not to mention, I was able to get rid of all my swap items. Win-win, I'd say!
Step 5: Supermodel time. Let's just say that a little polaroid camera was involved (and we've got the pics to prove it).
As I sit here blogging on this very warm Monday morning, I can assure you - our clothing swap party was a success.
I wish I could show you all the polaroid photos, but here are a few of our faves. Thanks again, Epica!

This looks like so much fun! I used to go to swaps all the time when I lived in NYC!
